Object Description
Slit tapestry band with eccentric weft outlining; pairs of animals(?) in profile holding staffs(?); pairs repeated in alternating orientation. At one end, warps are cut an dturned back into weave. Both warp ends covered with buttonhole stitch. One warp, two weft selvages. Warp: brown cotton, (2s-plied). Weft: gold camelid ground; figures in dark brown, blue-green, pink, brown, tan, white camelid, (2s-plied).
