Object Description
Bargello band; simple 1-1 gauze weave of white cotton (2s plied) with repeats of a large bird with curved beak, separated by rows of 4 small birds. Birds are woven in white cotton (2s plied) with black camelid (2s plied) eyes, feet, and feather tips. At each end is a row of black stepped frets, then the band splits into 2 sections decorated with small white birds and ending in a short warp-loop fringe.
