Object Description
Frag. bronze crossbow fibula of Middle La Tene character. Knobbed foot bends back to rest on wire bow, then goes on to touch spring. At junction, foot is set w/ shield-shaped disk w/ exaggerated boss. Circum. of shield is dec. w/ incised oblique lines. Shield has 4 "L"-shaped depressions in cross set w/ a red substance, (enamel?). Crook of each "L" is dec. w/ dot & circle design. 4.5x5x2 cm.
