Object Description Large double-panel painted cotton textile: Textile hanging; 2-2 cotton plainweave (all s) painted in blue, green, and yellow dyes. Two square frames (170 x 180 cm.) contain rows of naked prisoners with ropes around their necks, foxes(?), serpents and paired felines holding humans. In the center of each frame is a larger prisoner figure. Piece composed of two loom widths seamed lengthwise. Original piece was composed of over 20 frames. WArp: (s-pairs), 20 ppcm. Weft: (s-pairs), 7 epcm. See additional description under Conservation.
