Object Description
Embroidered manta made of commercial s-spun 3-ply plain weave cotton and embroidered with black, red and green aniline-dyed s-spun 4-ply commercial wool. The cotton is seamed up the center with embroiderey on top and bottom edges. Top embroidery consists of a broad green horizontal band with 9 black vertical rows and 8 white stepped units on top of the black and green. Bottom embroidery is a broader green horizontal band divided in half by a white horizontal line. The lower half mirrors the design on the top embroidery. The upper half of the bottom embroidery has 3 units with 4 inverted black triangles each. At base of each triangle set is a white diamond with an embroidered red butterfly in its center.
