Object Description Bast fiber egg basket with handle, made by women. native name: urura. Bottom of basket is flat and consists of twill plaiting z/z interval closed spacing. interlocked to the bottom corners are some rod like fibers forming an "x" . the rest of the basket is oval shaped consisting of wicker plain plaiting |/| interval w/ silky soft top plant fibers, possibly kapok. handle consists of braided exterior elements around a bundle of interior elements. rim is unravelling + handle has broken off + repaired.
