Object Description
Potsherd.
A reddish brown ceramic sherd that is made of clay with many course (organic and inorganic) inclusions. IThe surface is hard, yet light in weight; many holes from maunfacture are visible on the surface and along the break edges. What appear to the rim is decorated with circular spiraling; the flatter surface has vertical striations.
Identifying numbers:
A Peabody Museum numberin black is applied on the interior surface of the sherd.
