Object Description
Rio Grande blanket, banded layout. Cream, rose, dark brown, yellow, gold and yellow-green z-spun wool weft and natural z-spun s-twist 2-ply cotton warp. Narrow strips of cream, yellow-green, gold and brown. Four bands of narrow red and cream stripes, center stripe of red bordered by brown, cream and red stripes. Side selvages are woven over double warp, then wrapped around outside two warps. Top and bottom selvages are missing -- once warp cords tied to form fringe? remnants. Length: 205 cm; Width: 129 cm. Thread count: Warp -- 3 ends/cm; Weft -- 10-12 ends/cm.
