Object Description
Rio Grande blanket, banded layout. Cream, rose, pink, red-rose, light blue, yellow-green, and gold z-spun wool weft and rose, yellow, pink, cream and gray z-spun wool warp. Bands of narrow stripes in red, pink, light blue, yellow-green, gold, alternating with six bands of narrow red and cream stripes. Wide central band of rose and red-rose stripes. Side selvages, weft wrapped around outer warp; (color stripe weft carried up to next same color stripe on one side). Top and bottom selvages are missing. Length: 215 cm; Width: 123 cm. Thread count: Warp -- 3 ends/cm; Weft -- 8 ends/cm.
