Descriptions
Object Description
Globular basket with domed lid, plaited (1/1 interlacing) of sweet grass and red-dyed wood splints, and covered with "porcupine twist" decoration. Shape resembles that of strawberry; loop handle on lid fashioned from red-dyed splint, surrounded by green-dyed splints shaped to represent leaves. Rim of basket reinforced with additional splints and that of lid with sweet grass, attached by coiling.
Dimensions: max. height including lid = 10.5 cm, height to rim = 8 cm, max. diameter (lid) = 12.8 cm, max. diameter of basket = 12 cm.
