Descriptions
Object Description
Globular basket with domed lid, plaited (1/1 interlacing) of sweet grass and red-dyed wood splints, and covered with "porcupine twist" decoration. Shape resembles that of strawberry; handle on lid fashioned from green-dyed splint, shaped to represent stem. Rims of basket and lid reinforced with sweetgrass and additional splints, attached with coiling.
Dimensions:max. height including lid = 8.5 cm, height to rim = 7 cm, max. diameter (lid) = 11.3 cm, max. diameter of basket = 10.3 cm.
