Object Description
Straight-sided, round basket, plaited (1/1 interlacing) with wide, gold-colored wood splint warps, and wefts of thin natural and gold wood splints plus braided sweet grass, in stripe pattern. Rim reinforced with wood splints on either side, attached by coiling. Lid made in same way, but includes un-twisted sweetgrass as weft, in addition to braided grass and wood splints, and rim is reinforced with a bundle of sweet grass on the outside and a wood splint inside. Loop handle on lid made from wood splint. Dimensions: height including lid = 9.2 cm, height to rim = 8 cm, max. diameter including lid = 18.2 cm, basket diameter = 17 cm.
