Object Description
Straight-sided basket with constricted neck and flaring rim, plaited (1/1 interlacing) of wood splints and braided sweetgrass. Larger rim element is attached by coiling. Wide warp elements of natural wood splints; weft elements are all much narrower, with natural, orange, green, purple, and brown wood splints and braided sweet grass grouped into stripes. Two loop handles at sides, fashioned from coils of wood splints. Dimensions: height = 14 cm, rim diameter = 9 cm, max. width (incl. handles) = 10.5 cm.
