Object Description
Wampum. Group of 9 loose purple wampum beeds from a wampum belt of which those beads catalogued as 24337 were also a part. Beads are of a uniform size 6 mm long by 4 mm in diameter. Beads have become detached from their original belt and the design on this belt not recorded. Wampum was used as money in the past but now is used only for ceremonial purposes.
