Object Description
Wampum. Group of 12 loose white wampum beeds from a wampum belt of which those beads catalogued as 24338 were also a part. Beads are of a uniform size 6 mm long by 4 mm in diameter. Beads have become detached from their original belt and the design on this belt was not recorded. Wampum was used as money in the past but now is used only for ceremonial purposes.
