Object Description
Wampum necklace consisting of 4 strings of wampum beads tied together at both ends. A small fragment of one of these strings appears to have broken off from the specimen at some point in the past. The overall length of the piece is 40 cm and the fragment is 8 cm. Both purple and white beads are present, but the white ones are often glass imitations. The length of the beads varies from 4 mm to 7 mm with the diameter constant at 3 mm. It should be noted that this piece would be rather difficult to wear around one's neck due to the small size, and could have possibly been just a series of wampum strings.
