Object Description
String of 358 purple wampum beads of a very standard size (6 mm long by 3 mm in diameter). At the place where the thread is knotted there is a small second loop of 3 beads. There is the possibility that this string of wampum was used as a money string. Wampum was used as money in the past but now is used only for ceremonial purposes.
