Object Description Written on board: "Coleman County/ Marion County, Texas. 34-119. / 88. W. F. Thigpen Collection, found in a grave on John Fleming farm, 10 miles S. E. of Santa Anna, Coleman County, Texas. / The pipe is of catlinite, or red pipe-stone, well made and highly polished. Another pipe, differing only slightly from this one, was found in the grave, together with a sword blade, three gun barrels, metal ankle rings, trade beads, and several flint artifacts. (see photo #62, Lamar County) / Caddo type pipe. / Length of pipe: 3 1/2"; height 2-3/16" - diameter of bowl (maximum) 7/8"- diameter of stem (maximum) 15/16". Photo natural size. / Gift of J. E.
