Object Description
Written on board: "Titus County, Texas. 34-119. / Russell Bros. Farm. / Typical specimens of "Caddo carved pottery." At the Russell farm. The U. of T. obtained about 550 specimens of pottery from small cemetery about 150' across. Much of this pottery is of fine quality with beautiful intricate designs. There were 64 burials and all skeletal materials had been carried away in solution except from three graves, In these two tiny fragments were barely discernable. / Gift of J. E. Pearce, Chairman of Department of Anthropology, University of Texas."
