Written on board: "Titus County, Texas. 34-119. / Russell Bros. Farm. / This rectangular vessel is unusual both as to shape and design. The incised design is a variant of the sun symbol, so common among the Caddo Indians. / Length 6 1/2"; width 5 1/2"; height 4 3/4" specimens of this type extremely rare. / Gift of J. E. Pearce, Chairman of Department of Anthropology, University of Texas."
