Object Description Written on board: "New York. (New York City) / Pottery found by Alex Crawford Chenowith at Inwood on Hudson, New York City, 1891. / No 1, found under a large rock at point called Cold Spring on Hudson River, Inwood. No. 2 found on top of Hill, 200 feet from Mr. Colsens house. The frags. were about 12 inches below surface - Inwood." No. 3 found in dame place as Number 1. No. 4 found under a large projecting rock 100 feet from No 1, same locality. No 5. found by the side of a paved fireplace on top of knoll, S.E. Corner of Sherman Avenue and Dyckman St. 50 feet from 18 skeletons. The fireplace and pot were covered up with 12 inches of soil.
