Written on board: "Huichol / Mexico / Jalisco / 40-88 / N30401 H8129"; Typed caption on mount: "The triumphal return of the peyote hunters is re-enacted at the beginning of the / 6-day peyote celebration. This fiesta (called 'Feast of the Hikuli' by Lumholtz / and 'the Parched Corn Ceremony' by Zingg), given four months after the return of / the peyote-seekers, is a dramatization of their 43-day pilgrimage to gather the / sacred cactus."
