Denlinger, of Port Byron Illinois, in a mound near that place, about twelve feet below the top of the mound, and is made from a light gray stone. In the mound were five skeletons, lying in a circle, with their heads together. An oak stump, five feet in diameter, was directly over the mound; no other relics were found, except a few stone beads. The skeletons were in a poor state of preservation, and crumbles when exposed to the air. The pipe is for sale."
