Object Description
Man's gown, qaba; outer fabric: hand printed and painted kalamkari (aka qalamkari), in floral arabesque design; lining: imported commercial printed cotton in a sinuous pattern in pastel purple and green; inner edging: handmade kalamkari, in striped pattern of red, blue, yellow & white with floral patterning, cut on the bias (as is typical in such circumstances). Inner edge of short, standing collar employs the outer kalamkari fabric for its lining. Light, hand quilting.
