Object Description Clusterwork bolo tie. Slider. "very typical manta pin," with 32 turquoise tear drop shaped nuggets around the outside rim, 11 on the inside around an oval central stone. The center medallion is separated from the outer ring of stones by an applied scalloped relief. Turquoise is probably Lone Mountain. The dangling tips on the braided black leather cord have small medallions of 10 nuggets of turquoise around a larger central oval piece. All settings are bezel with fluted edge, and ropework and silver ball elements accent. Reverse is stamped "V.M.B.", probably for Victor Begay, possibly Mathilda and Valentino Banteah. Dates to the 1970s. 8.2 cm high, 8 cm wide, 2 cm deep; cord is 104 cm long in total, including the ornate tips, each of which measuring 4 cm high and [see Object Description text entry for extended description]
