Descriptions
Object Description Navajo bolo tie from the 1960s. Large stylized yeibei or katsina figure of an eagle dancer with wings outspread. Figure has a total of six turquoise nuggets on the headdress. Turquoise nuggets on each ear, one nugget on a necklace around the neck, three on the kilt, and one on each moccasin. Red coral eyes. Silverwork on bolo consists of stamped work, with braided silver and scroll work. The tips have two rounded balls on each, and from them dangle bezel-set turquoise nuggets. 11.5 cm high, 12 cm wide, 2.3 cm deep; cord is 98 cm total length.
