Object Description
Concha belt from 1960s-1970s. Belt consists of one large heavy rectangular buckle with stylized fleur-de-lis with a turquoise cabuchon set in a poor quality bezel surrounded by commercial beading. Belt is very rough-cut leather strip. It has six wagon-wheel sandcast motifs with eight spokes leading to a ridged rim with one piece of poor turquoise set in a poor bezel The wagon wheels are interspaced by butterfly spacers with turkey-wing motif and hearts on the sides with poor turquoise in the center set with a poor bezel.
Buckle: 6.5 cm high, 8.5 cm wide, 2.5 cm deep.
Conchas: 5.7 cm high, 7 cm wide, 1 cm deep.
Spacers: 4.8 cm high, 3.5 cm wide, 1 cm deep.
Total belt length: 114 cm
