Concha belt of silver conchas set with turquoise and coral chipped inlay

Object Description
Concha belt containing eight conchas and matching belt buckle, on a leather belt base. Conchas are scalloped ovals with stylized birds at each end with turquoise and coral chip inlay set wings and feet. Chip inlay region is slightly raised to base and very center is slightly indented against two raised areas of scalloped stamped material. Each concha has oval turquoise set in a silver bezel with silver rope trim. Loops attaching conchas to the belt appear to be brass. Conchas are 6.5 cm high, 8.3 cm wide, and 2.6 cm deep. The belt is 101.5 cm long altogether.
