Descriptions
Object Description Concha belt from 1980s. Concha belt of nine oval conchas and one buckle threaded on a narrow leather belt. The conchas are backed with leather disks. The buckle is a rectangular shape with rounded corners and consists of four reposse areas at each corner, a stamped design in each corner, a stamped design in the center of each side, and an open area in the center. Total of six tear-drop pieces of small turquoise on the buckle only. Conchas are scalloped and liberally stamped with fine designs. Interior of conchas are domed, stamped diamond-shaped design in the center. Reverse is stamped "P. Shorty", hallmark of Perry Shorty. Buckle is 7.4 cm high, 8.6 cm wide, 1.5 cm deep. Conchas are 7.7 cm high, 9.3 cm wide, 1 cm deep. Overall belt length is 115 cm. Hallmark id[see Object Description text entry for extended description]
