Object Description
Late classic serape, banded layout. Plain tapestry weave with narrow blue-black horizontal zig-zag enclosed in larger blue-black, red, yellow zigzag above and below and central half diamonds and quarter diamonds at edges top and bottom on red background. Thread count: 4 warps per centimerter (11 warp per inch) and 20 to 22 wefts per centimeter Warp: handspun z-spin natural undyed off-white wool Weft: commercial GT z-spin, s-twist, 4-ply red orange aniline-dyed wool; handspun z-spin blue-black indigo-dyed wool; handspun z-spin yellow green native-dyed wool; handspun z-spin yellow native-dyed wool; handspun z-spin brown-black natural wool.
