Object Description Wide Ruins rug made by Geneva Scott Shabie. One gold band with serrated gray-green, gold, brown, green diamonds with white centers bordered by stripe of gold/dark gold beading across middle of rug, with two additional gold bands with diamonds bordered by interlocking fret stripes of brown and gold above and below middle band; four bands, beaded and plain, of gold, white, gray and dark gold border the outer diamond and fret bands. Grey/brown beading stripe at top and bottom edges. Warp: white wool; wefts: white, brown, gold, gray, light gray, dark gray, pale gold, natural and vegetal colored wool. Selvages two-ply gold cords added in on sides, three-ply gold cords added in top and bottom. Warp direction: 100.5 x weft: 74 x depth: .3 cm, plus 5 cm tassels each [see Object Description text entry for extended description]
