Object Description Chinle rug. Gray-green background with bands of narrow alternating stripes of gold, white, pale gold, the two bands of stripes in center of rug with seven half diamonds in gold outlined in white attached at apex to each outer line, and similar bands with attached diamonds at top and bottom. Two bands above and below center band with seven light gold hour-glass forms outlined in white and attached to short disconnected white line at center, with border bands of gold, white, and light gold. Gray-green background "finished" at top and bottom with last weft rows in twill weave. Warp: white natural ;handspun wool; wefts: white natural handspun wool, gold, light gold, gray-green, natural handspun wool, vegetal dyed. Selvages: 2-ply gray-green cords added in all four edges.
