Object Description
Coiled circular plaque with hanger at top. Full figured Mudhead kachina against natural background with a brown body and black skirt. Mudhead holds black deer in each outstretched hand with one also by each foot. Bottom deer are against yellow background. Bands of yellow, rust, and black overcast in natural at rim. Rim finished in regular stitch in natural. Made of thick and soft grass or yucca bundles sewn with yucca fiber dyed in aniline or vegetal dyes.
