Object Description
Large coiled olla basket. Design, against a natural background, consists of seven whole bodied Mudhead kachinas with feet facing to the left and holding protruding rattle in right hand. Each has brown body and black skirt. Kachinas are separated from each other by two vertical yellow diamonds outlined in black. A band of similar triangles encircles basket at base and near rim. Rim is finished in regular stitch in black. Made of thick and soft grass or yucca bundles sewn with yucca fiber dyed in aniline or vegetal dyes.
