Display Title Coiled circular plaque with Grandmother kachina motif

Object Description Coiled circular plaque with hanger at top. Natural background with full figure of Hopi Grandmother kachina in black, rust, and natural. Ends of kachina's hair protrude from plaque. Arching over kachina's head around upper rim are nine stepped diamonds in yellow outlined in rust and black. Black outline extends into regular rim, which is finished in regular stitch . Made of thick and soft grass or yucca bundles sewn with yucca fiber dyed in aniline or vegetal dyes.
