Object Description Kelim tapestry cap with stylized figure repeated on rose-red ground, lined with fine plain weave cotton: Slit tapestry, 2 rows (6/row), of frontal fishman(?) in large branching headdress. Two weft selvages seamed together to form tube open at each end. Cut warps stitched diagonally back into weave, edge turned under. 2-1 plainweave tan cotton (s) stitched inside as lining. 1 weft selvage seamed to tapestry warp selvage w/running stitch, plainweave too wide, other weft selvage tuned under with cut tapestry warp edge, seamed with running stitch. Plainweave too long, turned under where warp selvages
