Object Description
Scene of a Navajo man seated on a white sheepskin with legs crossed and wearing brown moccasins, white pants, red top, white headband, concha belt, and white and turquoise beaded necklace. He uses a bow drill to drill beads on an upturned wooden tree trunk. Another tree trunk serves as a base for a flat rock which holds blue and white beads and pieces of turquoise. On the ground beside the jeweler are a black pot, a roll of string, and another necklace. Scene mounted on a wood base that simulates sandstone. Signed on the bottom "Nelson B. Watchman, 41."
