Descriptions
Object Description Mummy wrapping; heavy cloth of warp-faced plainweave natural tan cotton with stripe of blue and white complementary warp float weave along each side. Repeat design of stacked triangles in 3-span floats of blue cotton (2s-plied) on ground of alternating white (2s-plied) and blue Horizontal stripes in 1-span floats. Second cloth was seamed tightly to one side, torn off. Heavy cord carried along other side, knotted into the cloth at intervals; similar cords cross cloth. One warp, two weft selvages. Warp: natural tan cotton, (2s-plied), 20 epcm. Weft: natural tan cotton, (2s-plied), 5.5 epcm.
