Object Description
Tunic of warp-faced 1-1 plainweave natural camelid, composed of two widths seamed together leaving vertical neck slit; saddler's stitch, natural camelid (z-3s). Warp ends twisted into short fringe. At some point, large areas of tunic were embroidered (or darned) with dark brown camelid running stitches in warp direction. Holes remain in cloth where dark brown has rotted out. No design discernable. Four selvages. Warp: natural camelid, (z-2s), 20 epcm. Weft: natural camelid, (z-2s), 5 epcm.
