Object Description
Small mantle - plain weave bands, slightly warped face alternated with horizontal tapestry bands with warps grouped; llama & star designs; tab ornament sewn diagonally on corners; red background; blue, yellow, green & cream designs: Mantle; bands of warp-faced 1-1 plainweave red camelid (warp: s) and brown cotton (weft: z-2s) alternate w/bands of interlocking tapestry in groups of 4 warps. Tapestry bands alternately: row of llamas in black, white, breen, yellow on red ground; 3 rows crosses in same colors. Fringe tab at each corner with row of small llamas in tapestry. All edges overcast with green camelid. Four selvages. Weft: camelid, (z-2s).
