Object Description Cotton & wool band, probably cut from a shawl; interlocked weft pattern; Tiahuanaco animal type figures, green, blue, red, light blue and yellow: Border(?) cut from larger cloth. Weft-faced plainweave in red camelid (z-spun) flanks central band of complementary weft-patterned weave. Profile feline repeated alternately in dark purple on yellow, green, red or turquoise (all 2s-plied) ground, and in one of these colors on dark purple ground. Purple continuous, other colors discontinuous. Colors reversed on opposite side. One warp, two weft selvages. Warp: white cotton, (s-pairs).
