Object Description
Hat constructed to resemble Huari pile cap, but composed of two pieces of Ica-style interlocked tapestry with a row of double s-like motifs between two geometric borders. Ground color is ochre, motifs brown, yellow, magenta, outlined with dark blue. Four points made of core wrapped with fringed yarn: red, green, purple, yellow camelid. Warp: brown cotton, (2s-plied). Weft: camelid, (2s-plied).
