Descriptions
Object Description Textile; four strips of warp-patterned weave frame square of loose plainweave. Two longer strips depict Oculate Beings in linear style, woven in three-color complementary warp floats of red/yellow/black, and blue/red/black camelid (all 2s-plied); weft: red camelid, (2s-pairs). Two shorter strips have more compact designs; faces, geometric motifs done in same technique; weft: white cotton, (2s-pairs). Center section loose plainweave red camelid (warp, weft: 2s-plied). Each of five webs has four selvages. Pieces stitched together with large overcast stitches of red camelid.
