Object Description
Loincloth of two tapered rectangles of 1-1 plainweave white cotton, partially stitched together at the wide ends, where there are 4 sets of 3 thick blue/brown re-plied wefts (s-2s) alternating with narrow bands of white cotton wefting. The blue/brown wefts extend at the sides as ties(?). On one side the groups of three wefts are braided together, on the other, the plied wefts serve as foundation for a warp-float design. Warp: cotton, (s), 10-30 epcm. Weft: cotton, (s), 12 epcm.
