Descriptions
Object Description
Holy Man Captured by Thunders. Rectangular pale orange cotton cloth with kachina scene painted directly on it. In the center is an elongated black kachina (probably Holy Man) with white skirt, green neck ruff with red lines, and a multi-striped brown, green, black, and white face. From his wrists and elbows hang red lines with black-tipped white fringes. On each of the four sides is a Thunder kachina with feet toward the outer edge and heads toward the center kachina. These are identical in form and size but differ in dominant color (green, brown, white, or black). Their arms are stretched out to their sides and from them hang white zig-zag lines. Green and red lightning bolts connect their hands to those of the neighboring Thunders and to the feet and hands of the center [see Object Description text entry for extended description]
