Object Description
Tawa kachina lamp (A) with shade (B) and shade holder (C). Lamp base is of oak with three glass and one mirrored side. Tawa (Sun) kachina inside is of cottonwood root and wears white leather kilt with designs in black and red. Left leg and right forearm are gold; opposite limbs are turquoise. Torso is red with gold and turquoise designs. Green and red sash of ribbon around waist. Turquoise case mask with bottom half turquoise with black facial features, 1/4 of upper face is gold with red diamond and the other 1/4 turquoise with gold diamond. Face is totally surrounded by feathers. Holds a blue rattle in the right hand and a floral stick (probably at flute:at) in the left. Shade is white. Lamp is one of matching pair (with 995-29-10/73496).
