Object Description
Klagetoh rug. Gray field with central stepped black diamond figure that encloses a white cross figure consisting of a vertical line of joined stepped triangles and horizontal bar with diamond shaped ends, all outlined in gray. The black diamond is outlined in white, then in black, and is embellished with a small square and three attached triangles in white at interior at inner corners of steps, and with four small red squares outlined in black at the outer corners. In each corner in the gray field an element of four joined small white stepped triangles outlined in black. Border: a red band, then an outer black band on all four edges. Warp: white wool; wefts: black, gray, white, red natural and aniline dyed wool. Selvages: 2-ply black cords added in on all edges. Wa[see Object Description text entry for extended description]
