Object Description
Klagetoh rug. Gray background with central stepped black diamond with quarter diamonds at outer angles, outlined in white, enclosing red diamond forms with three stepped gray diamonds enclosing small white stacked diamond form in center; red stepped line framing central diamond figure; line of four red stepped triangles outlined in black across each corner, and red stacked triangle forms in each corner. Border: black band all four sides, with narrow zig-zag edge each side and wide zig-zag edge top and bottom with white band on all four sides, enclosing the black outline around gray background field. Warp: white wool; wefts: black wool, gray (black and white carded together) wool, red wool aniline dyed. Selvages: black cords added in on all edges. Warp direction: 137.5 x weft direction: 94.5 x depth: .5 cm, plus 8 cm tassels each corner
