Object Description
Klagetoh rug. Gray background with elongated vertical central red stepped and fretted diamond outlined in black with white stepped diamond in center; white "train track" outlined in black framing central diamond; four red stepped quarter diamonds outlined in black, of graduated sizes, in each corner. Bordered on all four sides with black band enclosing white band and a black outline around gray background. Wool is probably all handspun (Ann Hedlund). Warp: white wool; wefts: black wool, gray (black and white carded together) wool, red wool aniline dyed, white wool. Selvages: black cords added in on all edges. Warp direction: 125.5 x weft direction 98 x depth .5 cm, plus 9.5 cm tassels each corner.
