Object Description Early Crystal revival rug with Klagetoh colors. Gray background with a vertical series of four contiguous red diamonds, each diamond containing a butterfly motif in gray with a central red diamond; outer red diamond in outlined in black, them embellished with a series of serrated triangular points ban bordered by a smooth-sided black diamond; above and below these diamonds black diagonal bands outlining final half diamonds of central panel; around all four sides of this central panel a zigzag line made of intertwined red and black lines enclosing small white squares; at top and bottom above and below the intertwined band, a small stepped figure in black and white. Border; black band on all four edges. Warp: white wool; wefts: gray, red, black and white natural and aniline [see Object Description text entry for extended description]
